All-Star 2003

All Star Wrap up -Pictures below

Hey guys. Everyone know what Davenport, DeMolay, Girls, and February have in
common? All Star! For all those who didn't know, All Star was held February
8th and 8th in the Quad Cities, where fun was had by all.

Everything started Saturday morning, where the yearly ritual
competition was held, Cyclone Chapter taking home Chapter Proficiency and Boone
receiving Ritual Supremacy. Afterwards, the initiation started, and much like
any event, our SMC was unable to speak as usual. On the upside of this, 11
members were full-formed.

Of course, what is All Star and the dance without girls? Nothing.
Pillars of fire awaited those entering Egypt, the pyramids being a rather common
sight.  Everyone got their groove on, and the State Officers seemed to make a
fool of themselves during YMCA. The best thing of all though, was the
stack of over 60 pizza boxes.

Mike's Sport world was next that evening, where people could do just
about everything: laser tag, jousting, bouncy basketball, video games, and
so much more! Of course this was made better with the presence of the lovely
Rainbows and Jobs. Upon returning to the hotel it was lights out.

Awakening Sunday, the last affair to take care of was breakfast. Many
people spoke, and the ritual awards were handed out. Over all, the weekend
was a success for everyone, plans for next All Star already being carried out.

Executive Officer Shane Harshbarger challenged everyone to "Win Shane's Money."   At left: Shane spreads the cash that was on the line.  Above: Shane has to pay out!

The relaxed look on the State Officers' faces is all an act - they and the Iowa DeMolay worked for days prior to All Star to get everything ready.
