2004 is well on it's way and already chapters are starting to initiate. The SuperBowl is
over, but that means that February has begun and many other chapters are already behind on
membership. In order to get your 12 new members by the end of the year it's important that
you take care of business now and get at least one of your friends to join each month. It's
realy simple when you think about it. 1 new member every month for the whole year gets you 12 in December, an Eagle Head trophy at All Star 2005 and qualification for Chapter of
Excellence.
When you get home from All Star this year, you'll have plenty of reasons to get your
friends to join DeMolay in addition to all the awards your chapter might earn.

Chapter Of Excellence

Chapter of Excellence has undergone a few minor revisions, as can only be
expected in the second year of the program. The goal of the program is
still the same: To ensure that your chapter is one of excellence, a chapter
that Iowa DeMolay is proud to promote to the world, and that has the
respect of all the other chapters in Iowa. The qualifications to earn this
prestigious award were changed only slightly. I won't go over all the
changes here, so make sure you find out what changes were made at your next
chapter meeting.
Make sure you participate in All-Star ritual competition, initiate those
new members, and plan for your PMC/MSAs!

Grand Master's Class is a comin'

Grandmasters class is coming and you better look out. This year looks to be more exciting than ever. The degrees are going to be stellar and the basketball tournament is going to be intense.
Grandmasters class is going to be held in Des Moines, Iowa on April 23 and 24. There is a lot of excitement and a lot of rivalry on the line. Will Cyclone Chapter be able to stay on top or will your chapter be the one that will prevail and take home the trophy this year? One thing that is for sure is the fact that you will want to put Grandmasters class on your calendar for the weekend of April 23 & 24.
