Do
DeMolay, Get Stuff
(1999-2000) was a
program devised by the
staff and state officers
to reward those who are
participating in and
making a difference in
DeMolay. This program
was unveiled at Tailgate
1999 and nearly 60
prizes were
awarded.
While
this program is not in
effect now, it is an
example of the
successful membership
promotions Iowa DeMolay
has utilized to
encourage growth and
share the mission of
DeMolay.
How
do you earn “Do
DeMolay, Get Stuff”
awards?
You
can earn these awards by
participating in DeMolay
and by taking the extra
step to make DeMolay in
your chapter and the
state successful. You
must be nominated by
your Chapter Advisor in
one of the following
categories:

Ritual-
can be nominated for
being chosen
outstanding
ritualist at a state
event or for
performance of a
public ceremony
(Flower Talk,
Ceremony of Light,
RD Ceremony) at a
chapter function.

Membership-
can be nominated for
signing either the 3rd
or 7th
member of your
DeMolay career to
the Order.
-
Sportsmanship-
at each state event
that features
athletics, one
person will be
recognized for
outstanding
sportsmanship.
-
Achievement
of Important DeMolay
Awards- prizes
will be awarded to
those who qualify
for and receive the
PMC-MSA, the
Representative
DeMolay, or complete
three LCC’s from
Tailgate to
Summerfest (or
complete your 5th
LCC if you have
already completed 3
or more).
What
can I use my Do DeMolay
award for?
The
awards will not be in
actual cash. They will
be in “DeMolay
Dollars” which will be
redeemable for state
event registration,
purchase of merchandise
at state events, or to
pay the cost of
membership for a friend
to join DeMolay.
In this way, they
will be treated like
cash.
