scholarships. In

Iowa
DeMolay
has
produced a variety of
plans to promote new
members.
The
programs are introduced
each year with the input
and assistance of the
State Officers.
Kyle Martin, State
Officer Advisor,
coordinates the programs
with the State
Staff.
Programs in the recent
past include:
Chapter
of Excellence
Iowa DeMolay has
developed a
program to both
recognize and
develop our local
chapters into the
very best they can
be.
The chosen tool for
chapter development
is the
Chapter of
Excellence
program - seven key
areas that have a
profound effect on
long-term chapter
success and service
to the ideals of
DeMolay.
Representative DeMolay
 The
Representative DeMolay program
is based on using a
interest inventory
and series of forms
to assess an
individual members
progression.
The
form itself is not
challenging to fill
out, but it is
challenging to be
introspective and
completely honest
while evaluating
yourself.
The purpose
of this process of
self-evaluation is
to help you discover
those areas of
strength and areas
you should
strengthen to
continue your
development as a
young man and as a
DeMolay.
Court
of Chevaliers
The
Degree of Chevalier is
the highest award for
service to the Order of
DeMolay within the gift
of the International
Supreme Council.
Recipients of the
Chevalier Degree are
some of the most active
and valuable members of
the greater DeMolay
family. The
active Chevaliers have
organized themselves
into the Iowa Court
of Chevaliers.
Short-form
initiation
Iowa DeMolay
pioneered the
short-form
initiation, and in
our jurisdiction, it
has helped bring
back chapters who
may have continued
to shrink without it. This is
not meant as a
replacement for the
regular initiation;
it is merely a
supplement. Those
who are short-formed
are encouraged to
see the full
initiation as soon
as possible.
Iowa
DeMolay Ad Book/
Directory
The
Ad Book allows DeMolays
to generate funds to
support their attendance
at State Events while
helping out Iowa DeMolay
and learning valuable
lessons.
The
basic premise of the ad
book is that the
DeMolays are given an
ad-selling kit, and then
go to local businesses
and ask them to buy an
ad. Check out the
