State Officers play a vital part in guiding the activities of each year and in
forging relationships between chapters and members. State Officers are
drawn from chapter leadership throughout the State.

State Master Councilor-
Miles Wiese, Champlin Chapter, Boone
Miles Wiese is a Past Master Councilor of Champlin Chapter in Boone. He is also
working on completing his Representative DeMolay Award and achieving his Lamp
of Knowledge.
His home chapter is Champlin Chapter and is currently seventeen years old.
However, he will be eighteen in the next few months. He is now attending Boone
Senior High School, where he is a senior. Miles has also been awarded the
Distinguished Service Award and is a Past DeMolay of the Year. A little known
fact about Miles is that he is a diabetic and plans to attend the University of
Iowa and major in Biomedical Engineering.

Region 1 - Jonathon
Freel, Altoona Chapter
Jonathan Freel is serving his second term as Regional Master Councilor #1. He
is PMC of Altoona Chapter and has received the Founder’s Membership award. He
was named DeMolay of the Year in 2005.
Jonathan is 16 years old and is a sophomore at Southeast Polk High School where
he participates on the cross-country and swimming teams.

Region 3 -
Brian Bowersox, Cedar Rapids Chapter
Brian Bowersox is 17 years old and is from Cedar Rapids Chapter in Cedar
Rapids, Iowa. He has his Founders membership award and is working towards his
lamp of knowledge. Brian is a senior at John F. Kennedy high school in Cedar
Rapids. He is proud of the fact that he has had perfect attendance since 4th
grade. He plays the cello and he enjoys being a techy for the theatre.
