elected or
appointed to head
Iowa DeMolay.
State
Officers play a
vital part in
guiding the
activities of each
year and in
forging
relationships
between chapters
and members.
State Officers are
drawn from chapter
leadership
throughout the
State. In
2002-2003 year, the State
Officers are drawn
from Champlain
Chapter, Boone, Cedar Rapids #10, Cedar
Rapids and Michael
H Barnes Chapter,
Keokuk.
The
young men profiled
below will serve
Iowa DeMolay as
state officers
until Summerfest
2003.

State
Master Councilor-
Ryan Logan,
Champlin Chapter
 Brother Logan hails from Champlin Chapter in Boone,
where he earned the
Past Master
Councilor's Meritorious
Service Award (PMC-MSA). He also holds a Blue Honor Key and
was recognized as Iowa DeMolay of the
Year.
Ryan currently lives in Cedar Rapids and works at
Hy-Vee Food
Stores. As State
Master Councilor, his
program emphasizes Chapter term planning and
seeing more
members at Iowa
DeMolay's great State Events.
His most immediate goal is to increase attendance at every State Event
over the 2001-2002 year.

State
Senior Councilor- Kyle
Martin, Cedar
Rapids Chapter #10
 Kyle
joined at
SuperTailgate in
1997. He preceded
Tom Bowersox as
Master Councilor
from Cedar Rapids
Chapter and he
received the honor
of Chevalier at
Summerfest
2001. He is also a
member of Cyclone
Chapter in Ames,
the youngest
chapter in Iowa.
He currently
attends Iowa State
where he is
studying at the
seventh ranked
architecture
school in the
nation.
Living
in Ames during the
school year, he
has decided to
form a Western
Alliance with
Noah; the only two
State Officers
living on that
half of the state.
He is also an
Eagle Scout and a
fond listener of
all music.

Junior Councilor- Tom
Bowersox, Cedar
Rapids Chapter #10
 Tom
served as the
Master Councilor
for Cedar Rapids
Chapter #10 from
February 2000
until August 2000.
He joined at
SuperTailgate in
1997. He attends
Kennedy High
School in Cedar
Rapids, Iowa. When
he isn't at home,
and isn't at
school, he's
either doing
DeMolay stuff, or
he's working a
dead-end job at
Wendy's to pay for
DeMolay stuff. He
is 18 years old,
and finds it quite
depressing that he
can no longer pull
off stuff and get
away scot-free due
to not being an
adult yet.
